Kristie Bernhard

“One of my favorite parts about being an athletic trainer is the relationship that is built between the patient and myself.  Patients put a lot of trust in us during a vulnerable time for them, and they rely on us to help build their strength and confidence. My goal with each patient is to provide them with education and guidance while allowing patient autonomy to help them reach their goals.”

Central Michigan University – Bachelor of Science, Athletic Training/Sports Medicine
Joliet Junior College – Associate Nursing Degree

Certified Athletic Trainer
Licensed RN

Kristie’s professional interests are in orthopedics and sports related injuries.  Having been a multisport athlete herself, she has always been tuned into the needs of an athlete and the importance to get them back to their sport as quickly and safely as possible.  No matter what level of function the patient’s goal is, it is important to ensure that they have an enjoyable experience in the clinic to encourage continued maintenance of their function once they have completed treatment. In her extra time, she coaches club volleyball, trains for upcoming races, and enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
