“I have always viewed PT in the simplest form; that there is an underlying injury or imbalance that prevents someone from achieving their goals or even their day-to-day tasks. My inspiration to be a PT all started during my time with the Chicago Bulls. Seeing athletes come back stronger, faster, and more powerful after major injuries made me want to be a part of the experience. What really solidified my decision to be a physical therapist was working with the patients. It’s truly a team effort where the PT is guiding the patient towards their goals and creating that great relationship and bonding experience. As a PT, seeing my patients succeed and achieve their goals is what brings me joy.”

Matt has a high interest and passion working with athletes, which is what brought him into the world of PT. Getting to see the in’s and out’s of the athlete’s life through his experience with the Bulls has brought that same passion towards the everyday person. Whether a semi-pro athlete, intramural sport fanatic, or the weekend warrior, Matt will work on creating the best plan of care and delivering high quality care to his patients. He has experience with Applied Functional Science gaining his certification from the Gray Institute, understanding that the body moves in all planes of motion rather than one direction. He
has experience working with general orthopedics, post-op rehab, and returning athletes to their sport of choice. He is currently working on obtaining his Certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist and has high interest in concussions, overhead throwers, and continuing his
manual therapy skills to promote improved healing in a more efficient manner. Outside of the clinic, he spends his time working with the Chicago Bulls as a team attendant, enjoys spending time with friends, family, and most importantly, his dog Addie.
